Circuit Diagram

Circuit Diagram Descriptions



Circuit 1 is the oscillator circuit. IC4098 dual monostable retriggerable were placed in this circuit. It is the main IC that controlled all the operation in this system. It will made short retriggerable operation when get and input from reed switch. The Reed switch is the switch that made from magnet. It is use as the sensor in this system and sent an input to IC 4098.



Circuit 2 is the timer circuit. IC 4093 schmitt NAND gate were placed in this circuit. It is not the main IC in this system but it is important component on controlled operation in this timer circuit. It will made inverse operation to turn the negative positive signal when get an input from IC 4098 and then continue to sent an input to the LED and piezo sounder. The LED will produce light as indicator and the piezo sounder will made a sound as the output.

Block Diagram


Block Diagram Description

Reed Switch
v  Electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. Reed switch used as sensor in this circuit. When the magnet join together it will trigger the IC 4098 dual monostable retriggerable.

CD4098BMS
v  Dual monostable multivibrator provides stable retriggerable/resettable one shot operation for any fixed voltage timing application. This IC will made short retriggerable operation before continue to IC 4093 Schmitt trigger.

CD4093BMS
v  Consists of four Schmitt trigger circuits. Each circuit functions as a two input NAND gate with Schmitt trigger action on both inputs. The gate switches at different points for positive and negative going signals. This IC will made inverse operation to turn the negative positive signal.

Piezo Sounder
v  Buzzer is audio signal device that produce sound. The piezo sounder will produce irritating sound when get an input from IC 4093.

L.E.D
v  Semiconductor light source that produce light and used as indicator lamp. The LED will produce light when get an input from IC 4093.

Alarms play an important role in our safety. Whether it is protecting our home against fires or deterring burglars from entering our home, an alarm system will alert us to the danger and enable us to act quickly and minimize the risk.

If you are away, or even if you are sleeping, your alarm will warn you if someone unknown is on your property. A good alarm system should be one that can be relied on to sound as soon as someone enters your property without invite. The better systems on the market are not dependent on being plugged into your house’s electrical system and if it is it should always have a battery back up system. A radio alarm will connect your alarm to a response security team or the police. Once your alarm is set off you can feel safer knowing that someone will be checking on your property to see what is happening. One of the main purposes of an alarm is to alert the people around your property that something is not right. Neighbour who hear an alarm are able to either investigate or call in the problem to the police.

Home security systems are reasonable in cost and can be added to almost any house or apartment. Using one can make you safer and more secure. There are many important reasons to consider getting a home security system.

Abstract


Abstract
The idea of this project is to introduce a product which is new to the market. Technology applies on this product could make life more safe and easier. This product is not a costly product since it offers many uses in various aspects. Despite there have been a product seems to be a like, our gate alarm system product main target is to help to avoid intruder and minimize crime. It guard front gate of the house and notify the household if there is intruder inside the house area. This will help the household to act quickly such as call the police, scream to call the neighbour, save the children and their valuable things compared to existing product which functions to guard house and it would be too late for the household to save their life and their valuable things and children.
Our product applies alarm sensor system in operation. Our products start automatically when the user put voltage supply. This alarm system uses battery as the voltage supply.

Overall, the aim in producing this product is to apply the sensor alarm system concept in our daily life. By producing this product, it will also help to gain knowledge and understand better about sensor alarm operation. Lastly to combine together all hardware skills, electronic knowledge with some implement of the software development in building this project.

Objective

The purpose of this project is to create a product which functions to detect Intruder at the house front gate. We always want our family to be safe. It is one of the most important things to us. But when we need to go to work for our family and upon leaving the house, we want to know that they are protected from harm. To be able to have a security to our houses, we should look into home alarm system. Aside from it is affordable to have a home alarm system, but it is well worth the expense when we know the benefits it gives of keeping our family and home safe. May we put in our minds that it is better to be safe then sorry when it comes to the safety of our family. Intruders and thieves are almost everywhere, it is just right for us to be extra careful. If you decided to purchase a home alarm system, then you will see that there really is not a single downside. Sure you and your family will enjoy the continuous 24 hour protection, be at home and protected properly and possibly saving your life. The feeling of security will give you and your family peace of mind every day.
